Really pleased with my guitar lessons with Alex Partington. Started playing guitar 20 years ago and gave up due to lack of progress. But since picking it up again a year ago and having lessons with Alex I’m actually loving the journey. Who knew playing scales could be so enjoyable! Alex is very passionate about teaching and I cannot recommend him highly enough.read more

I had my first guitar lesson with Alex today. I've been playing for over 30 years, self taught, and want to learn to play faster and so Alex has pointed me in the right direction and highlighted some areas where my finger positioning and picking could be more effective. He's also encouraged me to learn more scales which will help me, and it's great to be able to download them from his website...very handy! Thanks Alex.read more

Music Theory Lessons, Bedford.

Music theory lessons are a great way to improve your understanding of your instrument. Whether you’re an adult looking to improve your understanding of music in general, or a parent who has a child who’s keen to learn, music theory will help to develop confidence, understanding, and sensitivity.

Why should I learn music theory?

Although a lot of guitarists play by ear (which is a great skill to have) you’ll become a much better all-round musician, the more knowledge you have about music, including theory, the easier learning, writing and playing music becomes.

Do I have to take the exam?

It depends on what it is you’d like to do. If you’re not particularly fussed about taking an exam but still wish to learn, the same process of learning still applies. We can split an hours lesson 50/50, so for half an hour you’ll be playing the guitar and for the other half music theory.

How do I get in touch?
